THE BIBLE CONTRADICTS ITSELF…

…Said nobody that understands the true and infallible nature of the God that inspired the bible!

A lack of understanding leads non-believers and believers alike, astray. Understanding God’s nature, understanding the gift of grace, reading the word in spirit will allow eyes to be open to the fact that God, is not a god of chaos or contradictions. If He was, the idea of faith would be futile, whats the point in relying on someone that can’t keep to their word? If He was a god of contradictions He would fail to be God at all because He would in essence be a liar and God is not man that he will lie or son of man that He would change His mind (Numbers 23:19). I’ve noticed that people including believers pick out insignificant things as evidence of the bible’s apparently contradictory nature and take scripture out of context, relying on the fact that a person who has already made up their mind that the bible is full of contradictions won’t do their research. The bible isn’t just a story book set in a vacuum, it was set in a specific time and place and those times and places had customs and traditions and used language in particular ways etcs, which people seem to forget. The bible is also a spiritual book which can only be understood by a spiritual mind, just as anything concerning God cannot be fathomed by a carnal mind. 1st Corinthians 2:14 – The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

I do not want to dwell too much on this topic because God and His word do not need lawyers, all they require are witnesses. If we as Christians live a life of integrity that reflects the bible, thats the best we can do. Getting into shouting matches and trying to showcase your biblical expertise solves nothing and brings nobody closer to God. 2nd Timothy 2:23-24 – Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil.
