Welcome to 2022

Hi friends! The last time I shared a blog post was 2020 and honestly I don’t know how that happened!

As we all know, 2020 was a wild year to say the least but in that wilderness, we welcomed our first born into the world and have watched her grow into the most determined, bold and beautiful little person!

Then came 2021, an interesting year; my self esteem took a hit and I fought many mental battles. During this year, I fell out of routine with my Christian disciplines and the year was marked with a constant grappling with what I knew I should do and what I was actually doing. To be honest, I don’t believe it takes a rocket scientist to see a link here, yet there I was, choosing vibes over victory.

Initially, it started with ‘the baby is making me so tired, I need to rest’ – which of course was (and is) true – then it became ‘God understands’ – knowing full well I wasn’t making any real effort in the first place. This is where I came to realise that there is a fine line between an excuse and a reason. The posture of your heart makes the difference. Instead of using my time as best I could, with what energy I could, (here is where ‘God understands’ would actually be valid) I let myself slip.

Now here we are, 2022, a year that I am excited for. My goals have been divinely inspired and it will take divine assistance to see them through. They are broken up into categories pertaining to my Christian walk, business and me physically (hey good health and glowing skin). I am excited and expectant about what God (through me) will do.

I got some news that really shook me on the 1st of January but that will not set the tone for the year, it will end in praise. So no matter how your year has started, even if you need a reset already, know that God is there with you. Even if it doesn’t feel like it, He is.

What are some of your goals for the year, how do you plan on achieving them? Let’s talk.
