It’s probably an age-old story. Women seen as the weaker sex. This idea is rampant, even unfortunately within the church. That is not the story the bible tells. The bible depicts women as strong, skilled, wise, delighted over as well as men and so much more. Our true identity cannot be found outside of God and His word. So let us start there and learn from the great and maybe even not so great women in the bible. I am going to share a few characteristics; maybe two or so per post. I hope to renergise myself and other women with the knowledge that God made us for greater things than the world seems to think we are capable of. We do not need to compete with men, we do not need to take on characteristics that are naturally attributed to them to be great in God’s eyes. The book of Daniel lets says ‘…those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.’ The bible does not mince words, if women could not do this the way God created them, it would probably say ‘men that know their God’ but it doesn’t. Thank God! Let’s be proud to be women, it’s a thing of beauty.
