I’ve been planning (and procastinating) how to write this blogpost in a diplomatic way lol. The Holy Spirit is in control.
Lately I’ve noticed that males and females (most especially females) are going on about how they want a virtuous man/woman and even advertising themselves as virtuous/God fearing etc, for example putting P31 in their headers, twitter names etc (females) or tweeting scripture, openly rejecting a particular lifestyle and so on (males). Now there is nothing wrong with finding yourself attracted to people like this or searching (waiting) for a partner that portrays these characters but be careful, discerning and apply wisdom. Its not everybody that calls the name of the Lord, whos heart is for Him (Matthew 15:8). People have latched on to the fact that saved seems to be sexy and are using it to decieve the undescerning. Do not let anybody use the name of God to trap you or decieve you, it is more than possible. Alot of people got to church, listen to the word, take it in, share it on twitter (and other social media), get some retweets (or recognition), but do nothing about that word behind closed doors, meanwhile someone is watching thinking ‘this person must really love God’ but they are just putting up a front. James 1:22 says we should be doers aswell as hearers of the word so we do not decieve our own self, if someone is successfully decieving themself how much easier will it be to decieve another?
Those brothers and sisters having dreams that they married you, yeah I’ve got a scripture for them too: Matthew 7:15 (Be careful of false prophets. They come to you looking gentle like sheep, but they are really dangerous like wolves)
There is nothing wrong with wanting to be a man/woman of virtue but make sure your end goal is righteousness and salvation and not to impress someone. There is also nothing wrong with wanting to be a man/woman of but do not let your desire become desperation. Commit yourself to God, seeking Him and His kingdom and you’ll be suprised and not entirely expectant of the arrival of the bone of your bone and flesh of your flesh.
DO NOT FORGET THAT LUCIFER ALSO KNOWS THE BIBLE (Matthew 4:6)
